Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress well known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s the television show Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. After that, she performed in a number of Broadway shows before becoming the most famous on stage along with Li'l abner in 1957. In 1957, she also made her debut album named It's time to Tina. Louise embarked on a journey to Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden, a character from God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film won acclaim from the public and Louise received her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's student. The next role she starred in was by way of 1964 when she joined CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to do a fantastic task of switching between Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark and contrasting characters in contrast to the glamorous doll she was often portrayed. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years she's also been a renowned director of popular television shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28th 1965. Her family emigrated to Toronto when she was just three which is where she spent the rest of the majority of her childhood and teenage years. In 1997, after being picked to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has remained in the city ever since.
